A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing

Why are such reports published? The methodology of the study is obviously faulty since it's neither regressive across the target audience nor does it allow for individual inconsistencies.
Yet the study gets published under the title of "Mobile phone use may improve men�s memory" which is very misleading to the average mobile phone user. On the other hand, the harmful effect of RF radiation as well as gamma- and X-rays from cell phones is well documented.
