Thoughts from the Land of Chup

It's strange how many people wanted to be like Holden Caulfield (Catcher in the Rye) when they were young and had read the book for the first time. It's surprising how those very people have changed views now.

Would you ever be like Dustin Hoffman in "The Graduate"?

Random titbits

Chennai is sweltering. The tar on the roads is melting. Apparently it happens in Delhi all the time, but it's not funny when you're walking along the road and your foot sinks in the tar and gets stuck. I feel like one of the cartoon characters. I had to check if I wasn't melting and getting stuck to the tarmac.

What is it about stoopid movies like "Say it ain't so!", "Just Married", "Me, Myself and Irene" (and the list continues) that appeals to the masses. Is it a celebration of stupidness, of moronism/moronness, of mediocrity? Jim Carrey is 41. He should start acting it. The only movie of his I liked was "The Truman Show".
